A.k.a. How to Look Stylish Without Giving Yourself a Million Blisters

Sneakers have been one of the most popular shoes recently and they certainly won’t be going away anytime soon. By far, the queen of the sneaker kingdom is the white sneaker. I was not a big fan of them in the beginning, the Filla dad sneaker was not my thing. But I have always loved my white Converse, so I figured it was time to join in the trend. I have realized that they are honestly the perfect shoes! You can wear them with anything. White sneakers are the new black. In honor of these magical shoes, here are some ideas.

The Teddy Sweater

These sweaters were another super trendy look for the past couple seasons. If you are looking for a trendy and comfortable look this is it. I’ve been wearing this with jeans but now that the weather is warming up I paired it with a denim skirt. This would look great with a pair of crisp white crew socks or some no shows. For some reason this outfit feels kinda preppy to me and I am not mad about that. I want wear this while hanging out at the beach on a chilly day. Or go to a fair and ride the zipper until it closes.

Sneakers and a Dress

I always think of Demi Lovato during her Disney years when I wear sneakers with a dress. To make this modern, and not look like a teen Disney star, stick with a pair of bulkier sneakers. This dress is was one of my go-to’s last summer and I cannot describer the thrill of breaking it back out. The halter top on this dress is so classically summer and the fresh white sneakers are a great pair. If you are going for cute, laid back summer vibes, this is the look for you.

Almost All Black

I may be a total sucker for colors, but there really isn’t anything like an all black look. It’s effortlessly chic and can make anyone a bit intimidating. I love to wear an all black look and just toss on the white sneakers. They are the two most basic colors but the white sneaker feels so unexpected against the black. Plus, this shirt is one of my favorite puff shoulder shirts. If you read my Spring 2020 Trends post than you’ll know this is style is a total look. If you are looking for a way to spice things up but normally keep things pretty dark, this is the outfit for you.

Pastel Princess

We all know that tie dye is in for 2020 and this sweatshirt is a must. The colors are so pretty and fresh that it never fails to brighten up my day. It can be difficult to feel stylish in a sweatshirt but this one is just so cool! Plus, it brings out the little rainbow detail on the bottom of my sneakers (because even when I tired to go for a plain white pair I couldn’t escape the colors). If you want to wear this outfit with dark wash jeans you can but I wanted to keep it nice and light.

The Jumpsuit

It’s the best of both worlds, easy like a dress but the comfort of pants. While most of these outfits have highlighted the white sneakers in some way, this one is using them to make your legs look long. This trick is as old as time and so easy to do with a basic color like white. Since the shoes are the same color as the outfit you aren’t drawing as much attention to your feet. That makes your legs look like they could go on forever. I also like the white denim jacket because it keeps the fresh white look and provides some warmth. Plus, how often do you get to wear a white denim jacket?

There are honestly a million other ways that you could wear these sneakers. If you weren’t sold on the white sneaker trend I hope this changed your mind. Trust me these shoes will make your life so much easier and comfortable. There are plenty of styles of sneakers you can choose from and they are all very versatile. I would suggest avoiding a cloth shoes (think Converse or Keds) if you are going some were wet or dusty. When wearing white you should always make sure you have the option to wash it!
